Hi All

Am I right in thinking that a soundbar hooked up to an arc compatible tv via hdmi should flawlessly work? My issue is that when it's "paired" via anynet I turn off the tv with the remote and the soundbar turns off also (great) but when I turn it back on again via the tv remote the soundbar by default is on optical and the anynet is apparently set to receiver (which is right). But they're out of sync - and I have to go into the menu and turn off anynet and set it back up again every time I turn on the TV. Is this expected?

Sound bar is the LG NB4540 4.1 Sound Bar and the TV is a Samsung UE40H5500.

Thanks for any information regarding this, I had a search but couldn't find a similar issue!

Did you try to configure on samsung tv
the universal remote
to control the lg soundbar ?

I managed to live with it, so once Anynet+ was set up every time I'd turn on the TV (which turned on the sound-bar) I'd need to push the optical button the LG Sound-bar remote to change it from Optical to ARC. Then I'd control everything from my TV remote. It's kind of annoying to do it each and every time I turn the TV on but I'm used to it now.

Hi @ja3h,

I have exactly the same problem. Did you manage to get it sorted?

Thanks,
