Samsung tuning problem

I am trying to set up a Samsung LE32B450C led tv that has been lying at dads for a while. On trying to get into the tuning menu, the channel menu is greyed out hence I can't re-tune the tv. Instruction manual also suggests resetting 'plug and play' feature in setup menu but this too is greyed out.
I have proved the signal input by tuning in an older Alba led and it now has all the digital freeview channels via a standard aerial connection.

Also in the source list, there is only options for 'TV' & 'Ext' but no DTV option and I remember when re-tuning another Samsung several months ago that there are separate tuning menus for DTV and analogue channels. Can anyone shed any light on what the problem might be or something else I need to do.

Only older Samsung models had a separate DTV tuning menu, your's doesn't.
The tuning or plug n play menu will be greyed out if the source is set to EXT.
Press the "TV" button (Top RHS on remote) then the menu button, select setup and Auto store, select Air (not Cable) and select Digital.
If it asks for a PIN no the default is 0000 (4 zero's).
