My father in law has a Samsun tablet 3 that he likes to use to view his pictures. At the weekend i brought him a card reader hub to save him having to keep removing the sd card. The thing is though the hub will work and load on the SD card but then straight away it will flash up saying that the usb mass storage device has unexpectally disconnected. Any ideas please?

The usb port of the tablet is probably a OTG type port, these require an adapter to work with like this one Samsung sells.

Would it be easier to just use some app or even Google photos app if it's there on tablet to sync to PC or cloud so not having to install sdcard to look at photos

Thanks for the reply. What he wants to do is to take his camera and tablet away with him and then to view the pictures on the tablet without the need for his laptop. This is what i got him:

Samsung Micro USB Hub and all devices with OTG function and Micro USB interface | eBay

If he has a real camera with a full size SD card slot buy an Eye-Fi card.

The Eye-Fi can emit a wireless network and automatically transfer photos to the Eye-Fi software which is available for Android.
