I have been in correspondance with warrantyex who supply extended warranties for electrical equipment.

They will cover the new Samsung for 5years for the cost of £281.00.

They have confirmed that they will also replace the lamp if it fails during this period.

Seems like a good deal to me especially since i was one of those lucky ones who purcahsed the TV from Pixmania so cheaply.

Do you think its worth purchasing.

If i take out a policy with you through Warrantyex will the lamp inside the
Television be covered under the terms of the insurance you offer. ie if the
lamp fails will it be replaced under the cover offered.

Yours faithfully

That does not seem to be a bad price for an extended warranty, especially as they have confirmed that the lamp will also be covered by the policy

:lesson: One thing that needs to be brought to light is that you don't necessarily have to buy an extended warranty from the company from which you buy your tv for example. There are companies like the one FGEvans has come across who sell extended warranties..... a bit like home insurance ! :D

If you like you can therefore mix-and-match so to speak in order to pay the best price for your new tv together with an extended warranty :smashin:

FGEvans as the company has stated that the lamp is covered it might be worth getting the extended warranty. :)

Gave them a call to double check the bulbs Covered.

Said yes it is :D

Will be placing my order online for the Sammy now and take out the warranty later when the the 12 months is nearly up.

SORTED

why wait nearly 12 months - you will still only be covered from 5 years from date of purcahse and the cost of the warranty will increase.
