Sky should be connected via rgb scart and your dvd player if it has a dvi/hdmi connection you should use this. If not connect via component connection.

i nhave my sky connected by scart rgb monster cable (cos i got it free) and my dvd player by component. got my component cable from here www.cableuniverse.co.uk very good quality cables at very cheap prices. if u have hdmi /dvi on ur dvd player then use that.

Don't cheep out on the cables - I had crappy scarts connecting my stuff to the Sammy and pq was ok.

Got some Thor scarts from Maplin on special offer (£20), these had a significant improvement in clarity, sharpness and colour over the old cables.
