I have been thinking about purchasing this DLP, but i am a bit concerned having read the thread on the lip-sync problem. I have a Sony STRDB790 and was wondering if anyone is using this amp with the Samsung SP46L6HX DLP?.
As i do not want to change my amp as i am very happy with it.
Any help greatly appreciated, was also wondering what PQ is like from a progressive input.
    Thanks, pdbmjb

I was under the impression that lip-sync problems weren't just confined to this model but is quite common amongst all manufacturers when the set is combined with an Amp. Does the Sony Amp have a delay facility that you can use.

I have this set and am running three sources (DVD, HDD-DVDR and Freeview box) through an amp and have experienced no lip-sync problems. Not had to reset my amp or anything.

PQ via progressive is superb! :smashin:

hi, I have this amp, bloody good one too lol. I have a samsung sp50 so should be quite similar and i have no problems with lip sync. There is 1 channel on sky which looks like u can make in ur attic that has some delay but i think its due to very poor signal and compression. Its one of the silly game channels where you call up to win prizes. Apart from that never had a problem :)

And even if there is, you can always change the sound delay settings in the service menu on the SP46L6HX. Note that there's two different sound delay settings, one for SD and one for HD.
