There are a few screens knocking around that are 1080/50i only - and the XBox will only output 1080/60i via the component cable. (HDTV Ready is not the same as "HD Ready" - the official HD certification scheme for displays in Europe - and HDTV Ready labels don't mean anything particular - and certainly don't guarantee compatibility with all HD outputs from various sources)

Also - you have found the TV/HD switch on the XBox 36o end of the cable, that switches between 576/50i or 480/60i? and 1080/60i or 720/60p haven't you? You have to flip this switch to get the XBox to output an HD rather than SD feed.
