Does anyone in the forum have a Samsung sp-43j6hd? Or does anyone have any thought on them! Im interested in this model because of the smaller case size of LCD projectors compaired to the CRT type!
How does this set compair to a £2000 Tosh CRT rear projection?

    Whats the contrast like?

    Any feedback would be great!

havent got one mate but glad you have asked cos i am too looking maybe to get one for probably the same reasons(big screen light weight low depth) but have the same reservations
(picture quality, esp contrast) have to say reviews differ from say home cinema choice to home entertainment with a reference to poorish contrast levels but fairly high picture quality both rated it as a 4/5 which is pretty good. where were you getting it? how much? all the best mate will look to this post with interest

I have seen one of these on display in a shop in Sheffield.

I have to confess to preferring the image produced by LCD devices over that produced by CRTs (RPTV or not), and I do like this one.

Brightness and contrast were more than adequate in the brightly-lit store. The pixel structure only becomes visible within about 2 feet. The geometry was perfect and there as no convergence error or "bounce" evident in the picture. They were showing MTV which is not the best signal - many music videos are coarse and/or grainy - so I can't really say how it would look with a high quality signal, but I'd guess it would be good.

As with all LCDs there is no visible refresh rate flicker, and the scan line structure of the picture is not visible. I'm not the best person to comment, but the overall colour and brigtness uniformity of the picture appeared good to me.

The TV is very compact, considering its screen size.

All in all, it beat the socks off the CRT RPTV next to it. No comparison.

A local shop to me are selling it for £2000 but i know Empire Direct will do the set for £1650 delivered! I know the set retails for £2300 and Power House (used to be Scottish power) would price match £2000

Ill probably go local for the better after service and extented warrenty aspects!

Anyone know of anywhere else that will give good service and price? Or anyone esle got an option on this set?
