The lag at times should be easy to fix with an update, almost certainly a power management issue.

I am always a little disappointed when the HTC One isn't brought up. Techradar had it as the best phone in the world, for a couple of years. The sense interface is better than Samsung's touchwiz interface in most respects. It has a premium feel, best phone speakers I have ever heard. Expandable storage, up to 128gb, and very little bloatware and gimmicks. Gimmicks seem to be the raisson d'etre of Samsung. They keep throwing stuff onto their handsets and hope some of them stick.

Seems like a really great phone, but I wouldn't buy one even if it was £200. I just won't buy any phone that doesn't have expandable storage, ever.

No manufacturer can get around the battery life issue. We will see phones with octa Hd and battery life of 3hrs and reviewers will say it's good :)

i own the flat version. i previously had the S4. the S6 completely blows away the S4. the camera is incredible, the display is gorgious and super bright if u max it out. The non removable battery is a disappointment, but i keep the phone on "power saving mode" and it helps out alot. the only noticeable difference is that the keys dont vibrate when you press something. brightness seems to still be at full capacity.

the raised up home key is also alot better.

as noted in the interview, the 4k videos look amazing on my 4k tv. though filming anything at 4k resolution takes up ALOT of space a 2-3minute home video can take up to 1GB of space!! its best to transfer the movies to your computer/hard drive and then erase it from your phone to save space. almost wish i would have gone with a 64G instead of the 32G.

      overally highly recommended as well.

I've had the Edge for a few months now. It's a decent enough device, and I can't say I've ever been bothered by lag, but the battery life is pretty crap, and the reality is that it's in no discernible way worth the premium over the standard model. In fact, in terms of practicality it's actually worse, as you don't get any extra pixels, so it's awkward to interact with on screen items that are close to the edge.

That said though, it is peerrrrty.

What's the audio quality like via headphones? Can it play FLAC files?
Would it compare favourably to my old ipod touch?

I really like the sound quality. WHat I hate are the crappy headphones which are weird and don't fit into my ear.

Does this phone have a normal headphone socket? I was assuming I could use my sennheiser headphones.

I own a normal S6 and also a Sony Z3 & LG G4. The S6 is without a doubt the worst flagship phone I have ever used and is completely blown away by both the Z3 & G4 (but for different reasons) The battery life is terrible on the S6, around 6-8 hours before is is moaning is needs to bne connected to a charger. The G4 doubles it and the Z3 is probably 3-4x better. Also the lag is absolutely unforgivable for a flagship in 2015. Both the G4 & Z3 have absolutely no lag whatsoever. The S6's only redeeming feature is its camera and this is equaled by the G4 in any situation. If this wasn't my work phone then I would have swapped it out a long time ago.

The normal S6 seems to be a bit of a weird one in that opinions are so well divided it almost like there's two different versions on the market. My normal S6 has decent battery life (I get through a 12-14 hour day with at least 30% remaining) and I get hardly any lag at all, yet this seems to be completely at odds with many other people's experiences.
