Been looking through the samsung R7 thread but have not seen much info on PQ for the normal freeview, as i don't own sky. I will however be using the screen for watching downloaded avi files from my computer and DVDs through the componant connection.

Is this a good choice of telly for freeview?

I was going to order the tosh 32wlt66 but the fact that the Vga port didn't output at the screens native resolution put me off.

Have i made a good choice or is the tosh streets ahead in PQ?

I have 32" samsung, I too chose it over the tosh based on looks and due to the 1x1 pixel mapping over the Vga.

I have no regrets at all, its a cracking TV and after tweaking with the settings i have freeview looking very good.

    laptop>vga
    360>component.

Also streamed some hd clips from pc to the tv and looks fantastic.

Go for it mate got mine for 570 about a month ago!
