Samsung QN75Q70 does not power A/V Receiver back on

signal

I have a Samsung QN75Q70

It is connected to a Denon AVR-S960H, via HDMI4 (The Samsungs ARC port)

I have HDMI Control enabled on both the TV and the receiver (CEC, Anynet+)

During “test” where you pair the receiver with the TV, the TV can turn the receiver on and off just fine.

The receiver powers down fine when the TV is powered off.
The receiver does NOT power on, when the TV is powered on.

It appears the TV doesn’t actually power off. When you press Power Off on the remote, what really happens is the TV goes into Standby, and then just forgets about the receiver. When you press “Power On”, its moving from Standby to On, and not sending the appropriate signals to the receiver to turn it back on. I can go through the menu of the TV and select the Receiver Source and then power it on that way, but thats a huge hassle and should not be the way things work.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I'm afraid I don't have a direct answer for this but my solution for HDMI control issues in my set up was to get a Harmony remote and programme all devices so they all get an independent off or on command at the same time.
