Been after a 49 Qled but took the plunge on this new 55",

This was sealed new when I got it this week..I have opened box and powered it on in designated room but it's too big for how close we'll sit from it.

NOT used anything apart from the oneconnect box to test netflix amazing pic and no issues with pic...stand, remotes etc unused tv has all protection films still on.

This was an impulse buy and thinking now I'd rather a cheaper smaller tv for this spare room.

NO reciepts as it was purchased from someone local to me, It has a delivery sticker of MAY 2018 in the name and address of the person I got it from.

I rang Samsung they said I could register it for 12 Months warranty no problems. Not done yet.

    Could deliver for reasonable distance...Ask

    Price and currency: £925...NOW £850
    Delivery:
Goods must be exchanged in person
Payment method: BACS OR CASH ON COLLECTION / DELIVERY
    Location: Nottingham
    Advertised elsewhere?: Is advertised elsewhere
Prefer goods collected?: I prefer the goods to be collected

I asked the same question..With the serial number apparently they would give 12 months as it's so new from manufacture date.

The site u mention is graded stock albeit that is A...but I know this was sealed new but for me getting excited and wanting to try it anyway all done with existing remote etc.

If you was to collect you'd see this is as new as u can get...

I can move on price...make an offer.

So they would give you 12 months from manufacturer date? And it was manufactured in March? So it has 7 months warranty remaining?
I've had to do a warranty repair on a Samsung tv before and they wouldn't do anything until I found my receipt for proof of purchase, and yes it's A graded stock so will be as new just like yours is, but you get 5 years warranty with it which is significantly longer than the one you're selling

I'm not interested for me no,but the father in law is after a new TV for when they move into their new house in 3-4 weeks time, so I'm keeping a look out for him, I'll be seeing him tomorrow so I'll show him your advert as you're reasonable local

From what the rep said to me was it is covered for a year from registration even without original receipt.

I myself have had repair from samsung previously without reciept under manufacture warrant.

    Thanks

With the greatest of respect to furryhobnob and the link he's supplied to GoDigitalWarehouse. I'm afraid this is just the latest name change for a very dodgy company who were previously called "Buy TV Direct" and before that "DC Digital TV". Anyone thinking of buying from them would need to be extremely wary as there are many threads on AVForums about the major problems buyers have had after purchasing graded TVs from them. Also a quick search on Google will bring up numerous bad reviews on TrustPilot, MoneySavingExpert and elsewhere.

It was just the first place I found to be honest, didn't dig any further like trustpilot, the tv is also available from other sources at a similiar price to the link I showed earlier too

    Update:
Originally Tv was ordered May 2018 as per delivery tag, not March.

Regarding Go digital warehouse...they may be ok or may not be...I have good idea of market rates and value range for most TVs and the different types of sellers and grades available...

    Price Reduced:

    £850

Can I keep this thread for my sale only please and posts only for more information or for discussing a sale.

Is it possible to come and view the TV before making an offer?

I'm unsure if this is actually allowed within the forum rules?

I'm not sure what the rules are..

But as mentioned tv is pretty much as new with all accessories unused and still with all the protective films still intact...

You are welcome to come and view and of course for any sale on here I would be happy for the buyer to give it a full inspection to ensure they are completely satisfied, but ideally need to know your offer so as to not waste either your or my time.

    Thanks.

I typed that message out before your reduced price appeared, so I already feel like a winner.

I can't make an offer on a third hand TV, with no purchase receipt or photos of the item switched on.

If you need me to make an offer blind, then I'm sorry but I can't do this.

Interested in the tv could you check it for any dead or stuck pixels and any banding/dirty screen effect ? I take it no scratches or marks anywhere on screen/bezel?

    Thanks

No marks or scratches anywhere.....no dead pixels.

I don't know all the dse or banding checks but I did check:

Bleed ? Extra white when on black screen ?...there was hardly any this with contrast and backlight near full. Much better than our ks8000 which took 3 sets to get it at acceptable level.

Banding ? Normally seen in sports fast panning scenes ?

Am aware of this effect, Tested briefly and this was not noticeable.

All else I can say is I had it on with dimmed lights and watched some Netflix YouTube test vids (SD too not just 4K ;) and I I normally have an eye for any unsightly things but nothing worth mentioning here...colours looked amazing blacks looked like wet paint.

I'm still tempted to keep it for bedroom but that's overkill and 49 would be sensible for this room..and safer for kids Xbox game plays.

If it wasn't for wallpaper I'd keep this and mount it but with stand TV sits too close....

    Will be advertising elsewhere tomorrow.

    Thanks
