    According to the news section we are about to see true 1980 x 1080i plasma and LCD's.

    Goodness only knows what the price is but very exciting times ahead me thinks !! :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

    A thought though...and 80" Plasma is probably too big for most people, I would probably go for a projector if I wanted an image that size. Is it technically possible to put 1980 x 1080i onto a smaller screen like 42" or 50".

    I would have thought so but just wondered if there were basic physics against this resolution on a smaller screen.

    In a word, no.

    Apple have made a 23" 1900 x 1200 display for at least a year now. And their 30inch looks awesome at 2560 x 1600.
