Hello - New techno idiot here.
Have just acquired, for my sins, SAMSUNG PS50Q7HDX Plasma + PANASONIC DMREZ25EB DVD Recorder - These are hooked up to a Sky HD box. Would like to connect a surround sound system, ideally WIFI - Or WIFI Amplified Speakers ? Any "polite" suggestions would be gratefully received. Thanks, JB1KENOBEE:confused: :lease:

hello there :)

by Wifi, i assume you mean wireless of some variety....be aware that whilst the speakers may not need connection to an amplifier (they will have their own onboard amplification, also known as Active speakers) they will need connection to a mains plug....each speaker will have its own power cord....so you need to make sure you have mains sockets nearby to each speaker that is not wired to a conventional amplifier.....

there are a couple of options around, however to be honest you are possibly in the wrong section here......i would say either the speaker forum or All-In-One forum is more likely to get you the kind of response you need....

Essentially a pack of Wireless speakers would be fed signals from a processor, rather than an Integrated AV amp.....which is why i dont think this is the correct section.....

I'll leave this thread here till you reply again. If you think i am right and one of the other sections would help you more then let me know and i'll move this thread for you :)
I wont move it just yet, in case any of the regular posters on here have any ideas worth looking in to.
