    Hi guys,

I am thinking of getting a Samsung PS50Q7HD.

I has anyone used this with an Xbox 360 ? If so how does it look ?

I have read numerous things in magazines about how Plasma TV's are not the best for platying games ?

Hope someone can give me some advice or recomendations.

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

I tested the PS42Q7HD and the PS50C7HD in the shops with my 360 using the PC VGA cable and component cable.

The C7 is the same panel as the Q7 in a naff case.

I found the Samsung Plasma a far superior picture than the samsung LCD and a Philips LCD. The Q7's seemed to handle normal DVD films better with much more clarity.

The games looked fantastic. I will be buying the PS50Q7HD from JL for £1900. I was impressed after much testing.

I recently bought the 50" q7 for xbox 360 gaming, and i think it looks ace.

I'm currently on a break from it as i got image rentention from a sega saturn, so i'm trying to clear it before i got back to games, but back to what you asked, i originally took my 360 to the shop and i can tell how good it was instore, the colours really come to life in dashboard alone.

I've played topspin 2, call of duty 2, DOA4 and various demos and they all look superb in 720p, my only advice is to take the advice off these forums and run it in first, bang picture onto custom and you get 50% settings, as far as i can tell from reading off here that is the correct thing to do. (I did have to notch the brightness up a couple as it was too dark but i think that is fine) someone correct me if that isn't ok. (please)

I tested it in the shop with Mass Effect Video which looked great.

I played MotoGP 06 with no delay noticed.

I played GRAW and spun round quickly with no blur.

The colour is great even on PC VGA connection.

I played Shrek 2 DVD through the 360 and everything looked crisp.
