    Hi all.
    I'm new to this:hiya:.
I am looking to buy a 50" plasma. Had decided on the 558 but after reading some of the threads, am not so sure now. It has to be 1080p, 30000:1 and under £900. If anyone has got this model - what do you think of it? Has anyone got any other suggestions please? Checked John Lewis - not doing it any more (those that got this model for £699 - well done you!
Have seen the 558 at Novatech for £802 - anyone know this supplier? I have never heard of them.
Would be greatful for any help - am totally confused now!:lease:
    Cheers all...Jan

Now this is just a personal view and carries no wight what so ever,

I have the 50 inch 558, and it has its flaws, but I got it for a good price (£699),
This has coloured my opinion, the picture is OK a few false contouring issues and the menu, source select is slow, but that said I can live with it.

But if the price had been more I would be wishing I had bought some thing else, so what to say...if its cheap I can forgive a few minor glitches but I would have gone for the panny if it wasnt for the price differance.

Even paying a bit more, how much, well I would say if the panny was within £200 - 250, I would have gone for the panny and not regreted paying the extra. But each to there own.
