I have one. I am curious as to why it's not worth the money over £1800.00 though.

cause for £2k you can buy a Panny PW6, just a bare screen but still the best on the market at under £3k

So how much would it have been with a tv tuner, pair of speakers a tv stand and input board. 2K would have bought a blank screen, but I didn't just want a blank screen and didin't have 2K. I bought it cause for the money I had it fitted everything I wanted and had a couple of recommendations from this board as well. Is the samsung worth the money, well if it's all you can afford yes. Is the panny worth the money, no, not if you don't have it. For £1800 or a little over what would you have suggested I should have went for bearing in mind that's my top limit.

Thats no problem shaun and i hope you are happy with your purchase, TV tuner £50 freeview box, Desktop stands are £160 ish and speakers (most people round here have surround sound systems already) £200making it£2400 for what you would require, but if you can afford the extra or just need a plain screen it is worth the extra.

For £1729 inc delivery the Samsung looks good value for money
especially if Samsung are giving a 2 year guarantee
(like they do in every other country)
I agree the Panasonic works out at least £2200+ with stand, twin tuner, SCART & composite inputs. Thats almost £500 more!

    Hi Hicksy,

Can I ask what its like when watching the footy?, is it an acceptable picture? no blurring etc. I know a lot of it will probably come down to the source your using, I'll be using Sky+ via Scart & Freeview via component.

I'm gonna be buying a plasma in the next 2wks , going for the panny @ the moment but the samsung does look like a very good deal :)

I'll be using scart & component connections which I believe the samsung has.

    thanks for your help

    Hi,

Footy has got better since i have had it. I mean, it doesn't compare to my tosh crt. However i run it through telewest using a normal scart lead so no doubt it can be improved.

Still very happy and it has component, scart and Dvdi connections.

Its also a generation 4 display.

WOuld you say scart to component is better than scart to scart from my telewest digital?
