Have the PS42Q7HD for 3 months now.
Started noticing those annoying things that you don't see at the shop like
Black crush, false contouring, dynamic contrast.
Disabled the DNIe (thanks for the posts) and it solved these problems.
I think that DNIe does much more than dynamic contrast:

1. Isn't it possible to tweak the black crush levels / dynamic contrast without disabling DNIe completely? There are so many switches in the technicians menus.
Started noticing strange artifacts lately that are present only when SMD is turned on.
For example, some scenes with an actor moving his head slightly, the black areas (nostrils, open mouth) are white filled for a split second.
2. Anyone else notice this?
Did not notice this before. Get the feeling that this is a "late" problem (Will try to disconnect the power and reconnect).
3. Anyone notice other "late" problems on this set?
