Samsung PS42E7HDX/XEU Pictur bright spots

Friend of mine has a Samsung PS42E7HDX/XEU screen and has a problem. At random moments (normaly when displaying blue colours) areas of the screen go bright, noticeably bright! I tried disconnecting all inputs to eliminate any external issues such as interference or bad sources / cables. I have taken some phone pics which I have attached (ignore the horizontal lines). Any clues??
