    Hi.
Is this a good deal for last in store?
Got them to hook it up with components to a prog scan dvd in store.
this improved the dvd picture somewhat. but maybe not as much as i might have expected. i have read on here that with this model plasma, the 'special' screen settings should not be used. I am new to the world of plasma screens. i am looking to invest in a good screen. Is this a good price? i know this isnt the latest and greatest of plasmas, and samsung dont get talked about on here as much as the pioneers & panasonics, but for value for money would £998 be a good deal?

    Thanks, Graham :)

thats £350 less than a PWD7 is a PWD7 worth the extra £350? if you are not 100% happy with the PQ then dont rush to buy it. If you are then go ahead but £1000 is a lot of money to look at every day regretfully (if you get it home and think "oh well it was only £998 it isnt that bad i suppose" you have bought the wrong product you should think "wow that is bloody fanatstic" ....................

hehe.. thats wierd i was just looking at this
    http://www.av-sales.co.uk/plasma/html/panasonic_th-42pwd7bs.html
just abit put off my lack of plasma knowledge. in this case. inputs/outputs.
i have a sky free to air box. scart out. and also rs232??... also have a denon 500SD cinema system, and xbox. (the usual bunch).
Anyone know what i will need to connect all to eachother?
i mean, the link above shows both these as options for £55:

    BNC Component/SVHS/Composite
    Dual Slot Terminal Board

    Scart Terminal Board

    thanks, Graham

persoanlly i would get a daul slot board for denon and spare S-video/composite input, component board for Xbox and add a JS RGB>VGA for sky (there are other ways, could convert it all to compoent and use a switcher with just the one board etc)
PWD7, mount, Dual slot board, extra component board (BNC) and JS RGB>VGA
Total Including UK TAX (17.5%) & Delivery to UK mainland: £ 1,612.88

thanks alot for your help! suppose now its just a matter of going with the panasonic or the new Samsung...

think i will steer clear of the end-of-line bargain route now.

    cheers, Graham
