Hello guys,
I own a 44" sony rear projector TV at the moment. At the back, it say's 225W. I have owned it for a bout 3 years now and so far it's been good. Now i have put an order for this Plasma TV and at the back of it's set it say's 480W. WoW!!! Now that will double the electric bill for TV viewing. Does anyone know how much electricity this TV will be consuming? I mean, if you turn down the sound, contrast, brightness etc. Will this 480W of consumption be reduced?
Many thanks

thats not the constant usage, i think you'll find thats the peak usage. tbh, i think they're comparable to LCD's. don't believe the hype!

So i shouldn't be too worried?
I know that Plasma TV's consume alot more energy than CRT screens and more than projector TV's. Im hoping this will only be a slight increase on my electric bill.
thanks
