Ask him why he's selling it. They have shocking reputation, poor picture, input problems, after sales.

HD compatible means it can accept an HD feed and downscale it but does not have a HD resolution picture. You don't need an adapter or anything. It might also mean it has no HDMI/HDCP support (which is required for HD Ready badginess) but I have no idea on that one.

    Is it this one?

They seemed to quite like it at 1700 (but they always assume everyone is minted at HCC) but picture quality maybe not the best. Depends what you're connecting to it, as always.

I have the HD version of this plasma and I'm over the moon with it

Put it this way, I dont think you will get a better one for your £700

Again, what people on here keep forgetting is that a lot of us are trying to stick to a budget, so all we want is info on what we can afford, not what is the best plasma to buy! I know a Ferrari is better than my BMW but its what I can afford :) Get what you can afford and most importantly what you want and like

Just my ten pence worth, hope it helps and doesn't offend anyone

wouldnt touch a samsung even if it was £5
You can pick up a decent panasonic on the classifieds for £600-700 or wait and save the extra to get a better screen

£700 is still alot of cash to spend regardless...so be wary
