When i have recorded a few videos recently at gigs, the audio is completely distorted, this seems to happen when the surrounding noise is loud... Is this normal?

I swear on my old rubbishy phones recording video at gigs was fine and the audio didn't get completely distorted? It is only good at recording audio when it is relatively low volumed audio...

Me too, also I used video when skiing, the audio is fine when stood still, but as soon as you start moving, it sounds like the biggest hurricane ever.

So it seems like the audio recording is basically not that great in loud conditions

I get the same problem - it happens when you are very close to the stage or a little way back. It also happens on my friend's Tocco. Does anyone know if there is a fix - either changing some settings on the phone or a firmware upgrade?
I have to say I am very disappointed in my M8800 because of this. My old Nokia N95 used to take great video at gigs, etc.
I might have to change my phone again due to this.
