Was holding out for the hisense to drop to 799 again. Is this TV worth £180 (possibly only £110 if quidco pays) over the Hisense U7A. 5 year warranty included

It’s definitely worth the premium. It’s better in most areas. They’ll be similar with HD content but Samsung better elsewhere.

But these TVs won’t be great with hdr. Also not suitable if you need wide viewing angles.

John Lewis and Richer Sounds are generally regarded as better for customer service/aftercare. The NU8000 is widely available and should be cheaper than the 8070 - picture quality is identical.

How reliable is Curry's for warranty?

It depends on the circumstances involved and your local Knowhow repair centre, some are better than others.

John Lewis, Richer Sounds and Compton & Moore seem to be the best rated for aftersales service, but again it all depends.
