This is my first post here, Its needed because I bought the 40" n87 in Ireland (Soundstore).
Its an amazing all round telly, except on 1 issue tearing, I have never seen tearing on any console game before and I was gutted to see it on my new tv.
My old tv was a 21" crt with no tearing..

The tearing in the 360 can be fixed by putting the console into game mode.
But on the ps3 2 games were unplayable assasins creed and heavenly sword ??

My Question is is the tv ok..:rolleyes::rolleyes:
And If its possible to fix it with a firmware update how would I go about it???

How have you connected the XBOX and PS3 to the TV?

I have the same tv and have just completed Assassins Creed. The tearing issues are the game itself and I seem to remember something similar about Heavenly Sword (Assassins Creed was far from anything I would call unplayable and I really didn't notice it that much unless I was in a really crowded or complex area). In game mode the TV is pretty much as good as I think LCDs are at the moment, there is 0 ghosting on my set and it looks really good.

If the console/game doesn't have vsync enabled then even with the best sets or even CRTs you are going to get tearing, just a fact of the games.

So its not a problem with the tv, because some people say theres no tearing in the game,
All the other games and stuff have played fine???
Its a great tv, how would I go about updating the tvs firmware anyway,

Assassins Creed has tearing, that is 100%. People who say otherwise are lying or just don't notice it, because everyone has the same console and the same copy of the game and the TV makes no difference.

Try other games yourself, if you get nothing then it is 100% the games (which it is, but it might make it easier to see for yourself).

the tv is great and ya it seems to only be in assains creed, drakes uncharted (minor) and heavenly sword .
It has to be the games though, but moterstorm is a insanely fast game and it has no tearing...???
The picture quality is amazing though..
