Samsung M87 - screen sizing 'issue'

Hi all, I have a month P7, f/w 2000 of the LE40M87BDX.

My issue (I have another which will be in a separate thread), is as follows:

On my old Samsung LE32R41B I could set my HDMI input for V+ to 4:3. This would ensure auto-resizing of each channel, i.e. if I was watching UKTV Gold, 9 times out of 10 the TV would be at 4:3, when I switched to BBC 1, the TV would switch to 16:9 automatically.
This does not seem to be happening on my new M87 :( Do any other owners of the Virgin Media V+ box have this problem ? Is it V+ doing it, or is my telly faulty ? Do I need to mod a setting on V+ ? It's currently set at 1080 Wide.........that may be the problem, but I'm not in front of telly right now to test.

Thanks

I set mine to "Just Scan" using my Sky HD via HDMI & the aspect ratio changes automaticaly so I assume it should do the same on the V+ box? my Sky HD box is set to 1080, what options do you have in the V+ box?
