I have a Samsung LW26A33XW which has a resolution of 1024 x 768. It has a DVI input, so is it HD compatible?

    Thanks,
    Kerry

I'm rather curious about this myself. The DVI input supports HDCP, which is a good start, but there's been a lot of confusion about it's suitability for hidef broadcasts in the uk, primarily due to the manual which states that the set supports 720p/60, 1080i/50 and 1080i/60 but makes no mention of 720p/50. I've come across threads in which various people have contact Samsung asking about this and received conflicting answers. I saw the set in John Lewis today, with a HD-Ready sticker attached, but I wouldn't count that as a definitive answer.

    Anyone know anything more?

Incidentally, the set's native resolution is 1280x768, not 1024x768

sorry yes its 1280 x 768. Well I'll give Samsung a ring tomorrow. I don't see why it wouldn't be HD compatible? Just hope it takes my xb360 feed ok...
