to be honest i couldnt find any better ones which look physicaly as good. AS far as specs go its very good, 5000:1 contract is briliant. Forgot to mentionion the sound it not very good, but if you have a amp for films then its perfectly fine, i mean if you mostly use it for general tv then its fine but for movies and consoles then its not brill.
If you shop around you mgiht be able to find the newer model for a tiny bit more, i think the only diffrence is that it has 3 HDMI inputs.

I bought the replacment for it the LE40R87BDX, its got 3 HDMI's, better processing technology, and has great SD and HD PQ.

I hummed and ahhed about whether to get the R74 or spend a little extra (£800) and get the new (just out in March) R87, glad i did now.

The R74 has been out a while, my R87 is the new version so will have newer generation panel,, better technology, better connectivity etc, all for a little more than the R74.

Which ever you get though I think you'll be pleased I am!! :smashin:
