Hi all, hope someone can help, bit of a long story but I’ll try and make it quick...

So I have a Samsung le40n87bd that would take forever to turn on, clicking etc. So I replaced a noticeably bad cap on the power board but the problem remained. Not trusting my soldering skills I just bought another power board, no bad caps, same problem.

So then I managed to source a new main board, same problem!? Decided to chance a hair dryer and voila, it powered up. Tried both power boards and the same results. Works for a short while and then clicks again, or when you switch off mains the clicking returns.

Any ideas? Have I just been unlucky with two bad power boards? Very annoying scenario. Hope someone can help, thanks in advance.
