    Hi all.

Can you help me out? I missed out on the bargain deal with Debenhams last week and despite trying to stick to a £400 budget I really would like this TV ASAP! The best deal I've found is with Empire Direct using the 10% discount. I'm also going to buy it through Quidco to save a few extra quid.

The TV is £449.99 and the ed xtra card is £19.99 and at the moment it gives a free 3-year guarantee on items.

What I wanted to know from you knowledgable people is whether I should be looking at other units in the £450 range? Or is the Samsung the best deal?

    Any advice is gratefully received...

    Thanks,

    Adam

Hmmm, hadn't noticed the Tosh. However I was slightly biased towards the Samsung for it's looks...

I realise it's each to their own, but if you had to pick one of these which would you go for?

Ha ha! Is that fence you're sitting on comfortable? ;)

So I'm guessing there won't be any reviews around yet. And most importantly, will it be within my price range?

OK, I'm pretty much set on the R87. I've read endless numbers of reviews and searched through this site and it looks like the one for me.

I'm just not sure about waiting for the price to drop or just going for it. I spoke to Empire and they can't guarantee my local store having one in stock in time for collection this weekend, but if I paid £15 they'd deliver it next day... I was trying my best to keep the budget to £450 and I'm already over that, and with the delivery on top it's £482.98...

    Help!

I'm not a fan of the R87 mainly due to the "panel lottery" I keep hearing about on these forums, whereby they use a few different panels each of differing quality. I'd go for the Tosh 32C3030 from ED which with 10% off is about £405. At least you know what you're getting with that.
