Soon I shall be purchasing a LE32R74BDX and xbox 360 and hope to use a vga connection (so it can double as a upscaling DVD player and enjoy my first HDTV with some cool 720p games ;) ) and was wondering how good the VGA was on this set? I WAS looking at the TOSHIBA 32WLT66 but after some searching on the forum the 'buzzing' is a great turn off as is some issues with VGA (or maybe this is just for PC's?). Yeah so anyway to reiterate how is the VGA input on the Samsung set? One last thing...how is beyond television as a website? Reliable? Just the price of the set is very nice on the site...

    Cheers

Don't mean to be naive, but whats wrong with the cable you get with a 360, with mine there's a HD and SD switch, what would you gain via VGA?

From what I gather it allows the upscaling of SD DVD's and the rest I suppose is either your preference of component or VGA image quality...

Cant speak for the Samsung but here's what I thought between the VGA & component on my Panasonic TX-32LXD600.
    Hope it helps.

I have the Samsung LE40R7, and run my 360 through the PC 'D' connector on it. The picture is absolutely fantastic.
My 360's original cable didnt come with a switch on it to change from normal def to high def, so thats why i bought the 360 to pc cable from currys for about £10ish.

Yeah I mean when it comes to the component v VGA I will be testing both to make my mind up (as it seems 50/50 for which is better) I was just wondering if the input was good and didn't suffer from any anomalies (apparently not). Looks like I shall be picking up this set shortly :D
