Samsung LE32R41BD - Remove grey part?

Hi,
Maybe a stupid question but when you wall mount the Samsung LE32R41BD can you remove the grey (kind of triangular) bit from under the screen? Is that part of the stand?

I think you will find that is part of the set and where the speakers are so no
