having just unpacked my samsung and hooked it upto my pc via vga - vga cable i have noticed that using the same graphic settings as mycrt it seems to lower the details in game. is this the tv or could it be iproved with a dvi - dvi connector or scart - s-video.

what im trying to say is whats best connection to use for tv - pc.

ild say the best would be dvi to hdmi.....

though depends if ur graphic card has dvi....

and depends if you plan to use the hdmi connection with ....

    dvd player or sky etc.

graphics has a dvi (radeon 9700 pro) dvi with 6 pins plus two at teh end (think thats digital and analogue compatible) i have a built in freeview box so hdmi sounds good. id only be using the comp occationally so even with a dvd recorder etc taking it out wouldnt be a prob.

    cheers

yer you could just swap leads about when needed..
or possibly ( if they do them yet ) a hdmi adaptor..
you know like the 3 to 1 scart things they do..

just push a button to change scart connection etc.

if they aint out yet im sure someone will start to make them..

I thought HDMI is protected so pc feeds cannot be used?

surely the protection is AVAILABLE but not mandatory on the connection... i think its only protected by people like sky hd and thats why everyone needs a protected hdmi port

Does it offer 1:1 pixel mapping over VGA (D-Sub) so 1360x768 is not scaled to 1366x768?
