Is that in addition to this problem you are having?

There is a known fault on this model, do a search, its not that you're encountering is it?

Have you tried just connecting the DVD to the LCD without looping through the amp, have you tried a straight RGB connection between the two,on my Sony DVD recorder the component otputs need to be turned on in the settings

No, My old LG DVD gives an excellent quality picture on this set. You may have a bad set of connections within the set if the TV pic is ok, and you have checked all of your leads and connections.

I bought one of these recently and sent it back straightaway because the picture was, as you say, totally crap. Not entirely sure what you mean by "picture via sky+ is great" but I quickly found that all external inputs were marred by a horrible sharpening filter that could not be disabled by turning the sharpness control down to zero. I had the LE32R41BD model and even the picture from the internal Freeview tuner was awful.

I had the same problem as SirSleepalot, non-defeatable and entirely excessive edge enhancement. I believe it varies among the firmware versions though.

I had mine only 2-3 weeks ago (from DigiUK) so it would still appear to be a problem with the currently shipping version.

Have you got progressive scan enabled on your DVD player?

Your first port of call should be where you got it from, you have 28 days from date of purchase for the place you get it from to put any problems right or exchange the set, after 28 days then you need to contact Samsung direct.

Well when I had mine from Comet they said within 28 days if it delevoped a fault within that time they would send someone to look at it.
When it did go wrong 2 days later someone came to look at it,declared it a right off and I took it back to the shop and got a refund,I could have had replacement but at the time they didn't have any more in stock.
I also checked with Currys and they said the same, the only difference was I would need to take the set back to the shop and they would test it there.
If its less than 28 days old contact the people you got it from, they have to sort it out.
