Samsung LE26R41BD Intermittent Colour Problem

I have a 2.5 year old Samsung LE26R41BD that has started having an intermittent problem displaying colour. Often it looks fine but then suddenly the picture deteriorates so that the colours are wrong, a bit like looking at a computer screen with only 256 colours rather than true colour. In particular faces look a silverish colour. This can last minutes or hours and isn't related to the input (can occur on DVD or freeview). Has anyone else had similar problems with this set and if so is there a simple solution? Many thanks for any advice.

have you given it a good whack on the back - I have EXACTLY the same problem and this fixes it.

Tell me if it works and there might be a flaw in samsung tvs.
