Samsung LE26R4 HDTV... "burn in" really easily?

Established Member
Hey guys,

Never noticed this before but think it has only just started doing it.

It's not proper "burn in" because if I leave the TV off for a few hours it goes away... but recently it has been burning in really easily.

Did it once when I fell asleep and left the sky banner on (well the channel closed) and that stayed there... I just realised that the RED BUTTON logo on the top left has "burned in"!!!!

How am I supposed to stop that??

Any ideas?

I don't get that on my r51 but I believe that LCD's are prone to it. However, it is not permanent like Plasma burn as you have noticed. It goes away with a rest....

Indeed. It isn't "burn in". "Burn in" is permanent damage and does not go away. And LCD's don't suffer from it.

Some types of LCD do get this as a temporary effect. I understand that certain Samsung screens are indeed prone. But, as I say, it isn't permanent.
