Hey guys,

Never noticed this before but think it has only just started doing it.

It's not proper "burn in" because if I leave the TV off for a few hours it goes away... but recently it has been burning in really easily.

Did it once when I fell asleep and left the sky banner on (well the channel closed) and that stayed there...

...today I just realised that the RED BUTTON logo on the top left has "burned in"!!!!

How am I supposed to stop that??

Any ideas?

Thanks

I don't get that on my r51 but I believe that LCD's are prone to it. However, it is not permanent like Plasma burn as you have noticed. It goes away with a rest....

Indeed. It isn't "burn in". "Burn in" is permanent damage and does not go away. And LCD's don't suffer from it.

Some types of LCD do get this as a temporary effect. I understand that certain Samsung screens are indeed prone. But, as I say, it isn't permanent.
