I don't believe they have ever been in stock, nobody seems to have had this new model yet. Please post a review as soon as you get it, I'm sure it will be great but I don't want to be the first to buy....

Yeah, I ordered one from these guys also so should (hopefully) be getting it today

I'll also post some impressions and will try running some Xbox stuff @ 720p to see if there is any sign of the 'tearing' problems some of the guys with the 26/ 32" versions have been experiencing. Hopefully there won't be.......

Tom3 how did your delivery go ? Mine was supposed to turn up yesterday but didn't. I phoned Web Electricals after placing my order Friday (AM) and was told Monday Delivery 9am - 6pm. I worked from home yesterday and phoned again at 9am and 2pm to be told both times that the LCD had been despatched Friday and I would receive it today, I didn't.

What email confirmation did you get ? I've only got the one saying my order has been taken but until processing this does not constitute an order. I've got no emails re order confirmation, despatch etc.... I was dubious hence the two phone calls to confirm yesterday. I'm not working from home today but still don't expect a card through my door when I get home tonight from the courier company. Web Electricals wouldn't give me the name of the courier company and were very vague.

    I'm worried.

    Hi mate,
I got no email confirmation other than the original "this is only a confirmation that we've received your order" type email. Citylink turned up at about 10am the next day.

Might be worth giving WE a call and quoting your order number.

Thanks for that you've given me some hope, I'm glad to see you got the same vague confirmation as me and the TV actually turned up. Hopefully a card from Citylink will be in my letterbox when I get home. I phoned WE twice yesterday and they said it had been despatched on Friday for delivery yesterday. fingers crossed.....

Yes, picked it up last night.

    Thoughts......

    Very pretty.

Remote small and lacking a few direct options. (i.e. you need to go through the menu option to get to things, eg. PIP sound from sub picture)

PIP a bit of a disappointment, only available between PC and other source. (cannot do PIP while watching a DVD and keeping an eye on the cricket on sky) PIP sound from sub picture a bonus, this was unavailable on a previous set I had.

    Picture quality....
Sky good. (football on sky is rubbish, on long shots the players are all blurry)
    DVD very good.
    PC good.

I'm keeping it. Overall I like the look and feel but I must admit I was disappointed in the lack of PIP options and the football quality.

Will a better quality scart lead sort out the football issue ?

I'm not sure if it will. Not a football fan myself really, but fixed-pixel displays look much better from progressive sources. It wouldn't surprise me if it's blurring from the source though, and not the television. If you freeze the picture with the button on the remote, you should be able to see which it is. (if it's crisp, it's the tv blurring, if not it's just the crappy sky picture)

I'd love to post my thoughts, but I still have no Sky service... It's been sat in the bedroom covered up since I unpacked it on Sunday night.

Sorry, it's the "still" button below Power on the samsung remote.

You'd be surprised at how blurry most video actually is, so it's unlikely to be the panel itself.

No mate, I've been royally ****ed about by them. No signal for nearly 4 weeks now due to the engineer cocking up my initial install (putting the dish behind a tree so no LOS to sat once the tree blossomed in spring). I've had to take 2 days off work (might slap them with a couple of my recent invoices to the clients, see if they want to compensate me for lost earnings, ha...) waiting for engineers who didn't turn up 'til the evening anyway and when they did, didn't know about my multiroom/Sky+ install that was booked.

Sky+ install tomorrow, allegedly, with a 'special team' to scale my roof and move the dish to the chimney (which they'll charge me £40 for..). Spoke to them on the phone just now, Sky+ viewing card hadn't even been ordered so I'm not holding out much hope of having it before the weekend.

    Complete and utter joke.

Ah, I thought I was going mad, just checked the manuals, the remote for the 23" is different from the 26", I don't have a still button.

I think the poor picture on football was down to ITV2, I watched a Sky sports game over the weekend and the picture was good.

Watched the start of "2 fast 2 furious" on sky movies aswell, great picture quality.

    I'm a lot happier now.....

Got my Sky+ put in today, very professional installers this time, did a very neat job and met all my requests, couldn't ask for more.

Quite happy with the TV, picture isn't pin sharp but it's the first LCD I've owned other than computer monitors so I shouldn't really compare it to my CRT downstairs...

One thing, not sure if the installers haven't set up the Sky+ remote properly, but it doesn't seem to operate the TV properly, just the Sky box. Anyone able to advise me on setting it up to turn the TV on/adjust volume etc?

    Thanks

    Hi

I bought one of these LCD 23" screens a couple of weeks ago and so far I haven't been too impressed with the Quality.

I was wondering if anybody could help me with some questions.

I have a Sony SONY DVP-NS730 progressive DVD player plugged in by component video cable. Films look pretty good on it but when I play some BBC television series DVD's like 'Spaced' the picture is blurred. Is there any settings or different cables I can use to get a better, sharper picture.

I plugged my Xbox in using component video cable as using the Scart produced very bad quality graphics. But they are not great. The graphics look soft and not sharp. I have ordered the new Microsoft Hi Def AV pack and have got the instructions to mod the Xbox to give out progressive scan so hopefully this will look better. Has anybody had a joy with this?

Would anybody recommend a scaler to get better quality images with this screen? I have seen the AV Toolbox AVT-3700 imageMAX video scaler.

Has anybody else experienced these problems? The image does look a bit blocky. Maybe I have a faulty screen. If so I would like to take it back. I never got to see this screen working before I bought it and only bought it from digiuk.com after seeing the 32" in Comet. It looked really good and I thought the 23" would be the same quality.

Can you use the PC input for anything else?

    Thanks for your help
