Well i got my samsung set today, 46" screen and im loving to. But, after finding out i had an old firmware, i decided to update. i downloaded the file from the uk samsung site and the update went smooth, everything by the book.

    however

i go in setup and product information and my settings havnt changed:

    Software version: T-PERLDEUC-1014
    Firmware version: T-EMMA2DEUB-0106

The file i downloaded was named amb (someting). However when i go into the service menu it shows T-AMBPEUMD-1020.1.

So what im wondering since the version hasnt updated in product information, should i then rename T-AMBPEUMD-1020.1 to T-PERLDEUC and do the firmware update again or?

Is it officially updated since it shows in the service menu.

    thanks guys

tempted to rename the file and see if its updated in product information, but i leave it be, and go to bed now.

hopefully i have gotten a reply by tomorrow. have a nice night

    Hi

Don't worry - your TV has the latest firmware version T-AMBPEUMD-1020.1.

The product information gives the tuner versions. The firmware version can only be found in the service menu.

    So all is well! :)

    Alan
