My dad just bought a 19" Samsung LCD LE19R7 TV for the kitchen.

It's the first LCD TV in his house and I don't know much (anything at all really) about LCD TV's, other than the fact that I'm not that big a fan of them.

    The problem is:

    Contrast doesn't appear totally sharp

I see lines in the picture from time to time

Images can be a little fussy

Is there something I need to do to help improve the quality of the picture?

Or, is that just how LCD TV's are?

    Please help.

Anyway, for those that have read this.

Took this TV back to the shop. The man in the shop said he couldn't see anything wrong with it, but he still gave us our money back as the TV was only 4 days old.

My dad went elsewhere and bought another LCD TV, and I have to say that the picture is alot better than I expected from an LCD TV.

I have read a few reviews about the Samsung TV now, and there are some bad things to be said about it.

The TV looks great, but the picture is as bad as I have ever seen on any TV.
