Why would anyone want a 102" plasma though ?

Surely it’s going to cost a small fortune and I guess would be easily beaten image wise by a 3-chip DLP or a 9” CRT projector.

Impressive but ultimately pointless in my opinion.

Expensive, yes. But you could easily find uses for it - for example, when you need a huge display, in a bright room...

I guess it has its commercial applications but I was kinda just thinking about it in the context of a home cinema.

I did not read the whole link...what resolutions is it ?

Will it work with Sky HD

    The resolution is 1920*1080 apparently.

Can't see the same thing happening with these beasts though...the shear logistics involved in moving them around the country would be a hinderance to start with...I don't think I could even get one in through my front door

Getting it through the front door is easy - turning it round and getting it in the living room, that's the hard part.

But if you can afford and justify one, I doubt even that would be an issue.

If you can get a three seat sofa in one of these will fit, and where plasma's go
    LCD's are sure to follow.
