We viewed TVs last night, on a whim. First time we've discussed the subject, but we found ourselves wowed by the Samsung KS9000. Before we take the plunge, should we be looking at any other models?

We're replacing a Sony Bravia KDL40v4000 (40"). We think 49", but don't want to regret that decision later. Opinions?

The Samsung UE49KS9000 is a very good choice.

Consider that the 55" model of this serie is EUROPEAN TV 2016-2017. :)

Unless you sit very close I would try to go min 55 inch for UHD. Even then you need to sit closer than normal to notice a difference between UHD and FHD.

Question, are you from EU/UK or North America? Need to ask because the model numbers differ and I don't want to give wrong advice.

So is the UK/EU KS9000 better than the XD93? I think in most respects yes. In HDR mode though the Sony may have the edge.

The cheaper KS7000 is also a very good TV.
