Has anyone seen anything like this before? This mark seems to have appeared on my screen overnight.

It's not been touched and although the screen looks dusty, it isn't at all. Apologies for the reflection too...

Edit. Having trouble uploading photo. I'll try again
Edit 2 - now with photo

Hadad my 55" KS7000 a couple of days and the picture is fantastic but I have noticed the rear back panel is separating from the silver surround on the left side. The gap is big enough you can see the light shining through. It looks like it us held on with a small layer of sticky tape ?

Going to call tomorrow and see what they will do but tbh the build quality of this set leaves a lot to be desired...

I've had mine about a month now and just noticed the poor build quality. The front silver bit was pulling forward away from the screen. It clicked back in, but maybe the back will start doing the same. Not sure what to do. I really like the TV, but I don't want it coming apart!

Keep seeing these kinds of reports with the 7000. The design and build quality sounds pretty damned poor. This clearly looks like a design flaw perhaps due to heat.

This is mine. If you push it back together it pops open again after a while. The back panel appears to be held on with tape which is not doing the job. Not the best build quality for a £1300 TV. It's going back for a refund...

Wow. That's really, really bad. I was once very seriously considering this set, but have to say I don't think I would go near it as things stand. It would be an 8000 for me or nothing and I'm not 100% sold on the 8000 yet.

I've already changed 2 pieces 65KS7000 because of glare from the screen bottom , and 2 pieces for faulty assembly 65KS8000, now pass to 65ks9500

Had the same problem with mine , returned it to Curry's for a replacement.
Manager said this was the third 55ks7000 they'd had back for the same reason !

      Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me if you can connect a pc to the ks7000 at 1080p 120hz please for gaming ?
It seems hard to find tvs that do this and even less that do it well,I've read about lines and artifacts with some even if they do support it.
Although after reading the thread about them coming apart I'm not sure what to do.

So your on your 5th TV, and people say cases of this are rare. It really does seem like an absolute lottery and at £1300 - £1600 it's a bloody expensive ticket.

Who did you buy from? How have they been exchange wise?

Can someone please do me a massive favour. In a dark room, select an HDMI source that isn't connected and then go into expert picture settings and choose any option so it minimises down and tell me if you can see a sh*tload of light bleed. Mine seems bad, but I'm not sure if that is par for the course with LED tech. I just upgrade from a Penny G10 Plasma.

      TIA

TBH after using this for a few hours I'm not overly convinced on either 4K or HDR. It looks ok but
I could see funnels of light coming from the bottom on mine.

My first set had the exact same issue as MOOGLEYS. Initially I noticed the light shining through the bezel has been mentioned. When I examined the bezel I noticed the entire right side of the back panel had come away! You could click it back into place but it would pop out again straight away.

2nd set (from a different retailer) had a huge bluish light band across the top.

3rd set has the same. Lady on tech support said that these are know to have faults in "batches". She advised me to shop elsewhere for another TV! Whether that's true or not I don't know.

So my thrilling adventure with this TV is about to come to the end. Hopefully the Panasonic DX902B will treat me better...

      EDIT:

      With pictures!

      Thanks.

I think yours sounds normal as these TVs are lit from the bottom I believe. Mine has light bleed all over it, even in the top corners...

It's going back. I could just about live with the back not being attached properly but not this!

So glad I didn't buy this set. I was close, so close I went to buy on John Lewis and it literally went out of stock while I was going through checkout. I then continued to read while waiting and have most definitely now read myself out of it. The quality control seems not to n existent.

      Hi,
do you have any experience how UE55KS7000 (7002) supports DLNA and playing video formats?
I have Synology DS213 and now I have problems with Sony BDP-S790 which does not fully support some formats (e.g. mkv with subtitles).
And other question - is there any problem with connection with AV Sony STR-DN1030?
      Thank you.

I mentioned that the front-bottom bit of mine was coming off, but it clicked back into place and stayed there. I finally had a chance to check around properly and with a bright white screen I can't see any light coming from the back/sides/bottom/top. I guess that's good.

I'm just worried these problems might develop over time. How quickly have people noticed this? Right out of the box?

EDIT: to be clear, I'm taking about the back coming off and/or light bleed onto screen or out of the TV.

That light shining through was only noticeable when looking at it from an extreme angle. It doesn't actually affect the picture at all, there was no light bleeding onto the screen from that point. In all honesty the picture was so good that I probably could have lived with it. But combined with the back coming off it had to go. If I hadn't noticed that initial light then I probably would have happily carried on using it for weeks.

I just got a full refund from Curry's. No questions asked.

The guy took one look at the back panel detaching from the unit and that was that!

Also, some games (via Steam) when played in fullscreen had a white band running all the way down the right-hand side of the TV, similar to @Links first picture above, but going all the way down.

Plus, the light bleed from all four corners on a black screen looked bad to me. It just didn't look how I thought it should.

      Now to research it's replacement.
