Question Samsung JU6400 into 2 channel amplifier via optical

    My Brother in law has a JU6400 and was looking for a bit more sound that the on board speakers.

    There is no room for a sound bar so advised getting a small pair of bookshelf speakers and a small amplifier.

    With My LG E6, I send my 2 channel amplifier a down sampled pcm signal as obviously cannot decode dolby/dts. for my bedroom, this works great.

    My question is, does the samsung have the same option?

    I was under the impression that some TV's do not allow this?

    Thanks for that. What do you mean it Should work? I do not want to buy the equipment and be in a situation where it does not work [emoji17]

    Can you clarify if a Samsung ju6400 is able to send down sampled lpcm via optical?
