Samsung JS9000 Help with PCM Vs Digital and Virgin Media box

Obie trice

Hi. First time poster and relative novice generally.

I have a Samsung JS9000 and the accompanying one connect box. My audio comes from a JBL soundbar and my tv comes from a virgin media box.

My question is around the audio. My virgin media box settings tell me to use Dolby Digital only if my soundbar can decode it. Which the JBL can do according to its manual. So once I set the virgin media box to provide Dolby digital, my question is what do I need to do on the settings on the Samsung JS9000?

There are two options I need help with. First it offers either PCM or bitstream? Then in audio format, it offers either PCM, Dolby Digital or Dolby.

Can anyone help me with which options I need to pick on those Samsung sound settings? And also, is this the right thing? Should I be bothering with Dolby Digital or just leaving at the default everything started in?

Thank you!
