I just ordered the HW-Q950A soundbar. In my old setup, I had rear speakers mounted to the ceiling angled down from a height of 7'. I understand that that is too high for a good setup. Behind my listening area to one side is a bookshelf. I was wondering if this would work to put a rear speaker. Is the up-firing driver angled enough forward that I could make that work? The other rear I can mount to a support post. Our ceiling is unfinished. As it is low, we left the floor joists exposed and painted it. I assume that might play havoc with up-firing drivers. So who knows what we get, but I wanted a high-end soundbar to replace my decade old+ Pioneer surround system. If I have the new fancy TV I want a sound system to match.
What is the maximum height I want the rear speakers to be at?
