So I am in the process of buying the ue55es8000 and need a 3d blu ray system to go with it! I am looking to stick with Samsung and came across these two. I've searched the forums before making this thread but nothing comes up for either product.

Basically the only difference I can see is the 5550 has 4 tall boy speaks where the 5530 has two. I've only found reviews for one of these products, the 5530 and one thing I've seen in particular is it takes 50seconds to loan a blu ray, which was a negative. I was wondering whether you knowledgable guys know whether this issue would plague the 5550?

If there's any other systems you can recommend for the 300-400 price point that would be sweet too!x

    Cheers.

    I would suggest another route.
Buy a Samsung Blu-ray if you want but connect it to something like this Onkyo AVX690 Black | 5.1 Package System inc Speakers excl DVD player | Richer Sounds
    Why.
    1. If AIO fails you throw it away
    2. If you need to upograde the AIO you throw it all away.
    3. Separates can be upgraded individually
    4. AIO quote monster numbers for output power which is total nonsense.

You will get the Home Cinema bug but will be left holding on to a AIO.

    Alternatively.
Sony STRDH820 Black | AV Receiver | Richer Sounds
Boston SOUNDWARE XS SE Black | 5.1 Speaker Package | Richer Sounds
    Add Blu-ray.

Wow thanks for the response. Pretty much explained everything to me. Will definately look up the products you've suggested.

    Thanks again.

Settling for the second package. Comes to about £450. Slightly more than the first. But seems like a better bet. Adding the Samsung bd-e6100 as my 3d blu ray player. And buying the ue55es8000. All from richer sounds! Anything to add? Thanks again mate. They should all work well together Im hoping.

Right another muddle. Just phoned richer sounds to place order for the above, and the guy said the Sony was not a great device. He said its over 3 years old and suggested I get the Yamaha RXV373 (can't find many reviews) and the tannoy Sfx 5.1. What do you guys recommend I do. This works out cheaper than the package I was buying from him. But money's not an issue at the moment within the 500 range.

    Cheers guys.

Sorry for triple posting. Would the Yamaha work well with the Boston speakers instead of the tannoy? As the bostons have good reviews. The tannoy, can't find many.
