Samsung HD870 Sound Problem

I have recently bought a Samsung HD870 dvd player. I have just been through the whole problem with firmware downgrading to get the multi region hack to work and finally last night it worked. I have since come across another problem. When i try to play burnt dvd-r's via the hdmi connection a message appears on the screen saying does not support hdmi sound.

Anyone come across this before and know any way i can get around this?

I can't seem to find any way of running picture through HDMI and sound off the normal audio connection.

or alternatively i can't seem to upscale through component.

hi, i've got this dvd player, and i don't know if it's a fault, but every time i play a dvd i get the same message about hdmi does not support sound.

i've got sound through my amp via optical, so not a problem for me. sorry i can't be of any help. cheers.
