    Hi
I currently have a 2 year old dvd home cinema system whith optical connections.
Now I dont want to bin this system as its only 2 years old but If I buy a Samsung HD860 witch has optical out then can I connect my new hdmi dvd player to the home cinema system and use it as a amp? Also is there any other way of connecting them together?

    Thanks

Shouldn't be any problem. You should also be able to connect via phono if you want to use the Samsung as a cd player.

I once had a Samsung HD dvd player (hdmi), not sure which model. Played fine but had problems with divx scaling. Is this fixed now?
