    Hi there,

I have a samsung hd 745 dvd player. I am about to purchase a sony KDFE50A12 televison. Is it possible to make a connection between the dvi out on the dvd player to the hdmi in on the television? If it is possible will i still be able to utilize upscaling over the dvi interface?

    any feedback appreciated

Yup, a DVI to HDMI adapter is all thats needed. But! You wont get the audio. Audio is only carried on HDMI to HDMI, so youll have to get a pair of phonos into the TV or just use the coax to an amp!

As for the upscaling, as far as I know, Yes youll still be able to upscale.
