Does anybody have the latest firmware for the LE32R41BD that they can upload to some webspace (or email to me and I can host) for download?

My TV was delivered only last week and yet it's got the May firmware :thumbsdow

Any idea which of the 47 pages it's on?

I forgot about the cable. What type is it as I can probably get one at work?
Is it just a normal serial cable?

OK, I've got it.

Any idea what kind of cable that is. I realise one end is a standard serial connection but the other end looks like a 3.5mm headphone jack!

Ohh yes, lot a people upload your firmware :nono: sorry ironic mode but only one person has upload her firm (busterdan) and is for freeview version "Greenwich"
Those that we have requested (lot a people :lease: ) non freeview "Rome" model dont we have luck after read 696 posts
Should be difficult upload 1 Mb

mparter sorry I think its in the first 10 pages?
you have found it well done.
The cable is as you say standard serial to 3.5 stereo headphone type jack
goes into the service socket which looks just like a headphone socket
Somewhere in the mamoth thread there is a picture with Pin outs if you fancy
making one yourself, but i would ring sumsung etc. (i do not know where the pic
is maybe half way onwards in the thread)

could somone tell me the firmware version which is out of date or the current firmware name pls

Anything before August 22nd is the old Firmware

How do you check to see which version you have :lesson:

:lease: Please guys!
Someone with a 32" Rome model post the new firmware somewhere!
The cable can be made by ourselves but we don't have the correct mot file!

You do know that Samsung will actually email you the firmware if requested? They gave me this option, but I needed the cable.
To check which version you have you'll need to enter service mode:
1. Put tv in standby
2. Press INFO, MENU, MUTE and then POWER on the remote
3. To get out of it press POWER again
***DON'T TOUCH ANY OF THE SETTINGS, YOU CAN BORK YOUR TV PROPER***
I would email the firmware, but mine is the freeview version. Although, I'm sure my CD had the words ROME on it?

Also, whats the difference between the Rome and Greenwich models?

Can you tell us the email address where we can ask for the firmware?
Also, I think the correct firmware for rome models is called "Rome2.mot".
Do you have it on the CD?

Greenwich is the model with digital freeview tuner.
Rome includes only the analogue tuner.
Firmware will tell GRNW or ROME so you'll know...

You need to phone them (number is on page 1 of this thread). They'll want your serial number and model. Tell them you have the cable & just need the firmware emailed to you.

Rome2.mot (LE26R41B) and software are available from my webspace Here

im as of yet unsure if the Size of the Tv matters with the firmware files, i know some have tried the Firmware i have on larger Tv's but they havent reported back to me if it worked or if i did not.

I can't enter that webspace (server error?). maybe later...

OK, is working now (thanks, MrHat), I have the files.
Also, someone promised me the files from his 40" Rome model. It will be interesting to compare them to see if there are any differences.

MrHat, just one more question. I'm not sure if the firmwares are different for other countries. Can you check please if your updated TV includes also the Romanian language and if there is an option to set the channels as Eastern Europe?
Thanks again!

Got the cable made up at work and I've got the firmware, gonna update it tonight at home. Fingers crossed I don't knacker my TV!!

Good luck! After that, please share your expertize with us!
